White Sands Missile Range confirms COVID-19 case

U.S. Army Colonel David C. Trybula announced Monday night that an employee at White Sands Missile Range has tested positive for the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19 disease. The Las Cruces Sun News reports that in a video update posted to WSMR’s official Facebook pagethat the employee has been working from home for more than a week but provided no other further information about their symptoms or prior contacts at the instillation. Trybula also announced new restrictions at WSMR aiming to slow community spread of the Coronavirus saying, essential services remain open with mission critical businesses operating with as many personal working remotely as possible.
