Neighbor Dispute Leads to Shots Fired

On September 30, 2020 shortly before 7:00 p.m. the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office responded to a possible shots fired in the 5000 block of Third St. A caller reported, while driving north bound on Third St. a group of children began throwing rocks at his vehicle. The caller advised he drove home to pick up a passenger and returned to the area where the children had been throwing rocks in order to obtain an address to report it to law enforcement. The caller advised upon his return to the area, a male, later identified as Linzy Thomas Hall II, came out of the residence and shot two rounds into the air. The caller advised he began to drive off when Mr. Hall pointed the handgun at the caller’s vehicle and began to run after him. The caller was able to leave the area without further incident. The caller was able to identify Mr. Hall as the subject who had fired the rounds and pointed the gun at his vehicle.

Linzy Thomas Hall II was placed under arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Negligent Use of a Firearm and subsequently booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center.
