A 53-year-old musician, Aisylu Chizhevskaya Mingalim, recently made headlines after marrying her 22-year-old adopted son, Daniel Chizhevsky, sparking shock and controversy.
The couple tied the knot in Kazan, Tatarstan Republic, Russia, on October 20, despite the significant age difference and their initial connection when Daniel was 13.
Aisylu had been raising Daniel since he was 14, having adopted him from an orphanage where she taught singing lessons.
However, their unconventional relationship has resulted in child welfare officials removing Aisylu’s five other adopted children from her care.
The four girls and one boy have been taken from Aisylu’s home, with some returning to care homes and others reuniting with family members.
Aisylu also has a biological son from a previous marriage and has been involved in adopting children after encountering orphans during a film project with a Tatarstan TV station.
Aisylu defended her relationship with Daniel, saying, “Our relationship is perfect. We can’t live without each other. We are on the same wavelength.”
She now plans to leave Tartarstan with her new husband and hopes to regain custody of her adopted children to relocate them to Moscow, where they can have a more liberated life.
