Investigation Underway After Discovery of Decapitated Animals

An investigation is underway after more than a dozen decapitated animals were found in the desert in east El Paso. Yesterday, someone who lives nearby found around 15-decapitated animal carcasses, all sheep and goats, inside a bag near Dyer Street and Railroad Drive. KFOX reports that Texas Parks and Wildlife game warden Captain Ray Spears says it could be a ritualistic killing since it is uncommon to see that many discarded headless sheep and goats possibly drained of their blood. El Paso Police are investigating the case as one of animal cruelty.
