Fort Bliss Could Help House Immigrant Kids

Fort Bliss could become one of several sites where unaccompanied immigrant kids are temporarily housed. Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services requested assistance from the Department of Defense to use two bases, one of which would be Fort Bliss, to house the children. The other location requested is Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. Yesterday, DOD spokesperson John Kirby said the HHS request is still being evaluated.
