Democrats Build big Lead in Absentee Ballot Requests

State officials say Democrats are requesting about three-times as many absentee ballots as Republicans in New Mexico. The Secretary of State’s Office reports Democratic voters have requested 158-thousand-860 ballots, while 48-thousand-430 have been requested by Republicans. The state sent absentee ballot applications to every registered voter in New Mexico to prevent crowds at the polls during the COVID-19 pandemic.
