COVID-19 Rise for First Time in Weeks, Holiday Gatherings Suspected

El Paso health officials say active cases of COVID-19 are rising again for the first time in weeks, and they suspect holiday gatherings as part of the reason. The increase follows the St. Patrick’s Day holiday as well as spring break. Officials say 277 new cases have been reported in El Paso, along with 17 deaths. The total number of cases reported in El Paso since the pandemic began is 129-thousand-495. There were 17 new deaths reported yesterday, bringing the death toll to 24-hundred.
