Black Panther Actor and Three Children Perish in Devastating Car Collision

The entertainment industry is mourning the devastating loss of Taraja Ramsess, a talented stuntman and actor known for his work in numerous blockbuster films, including both Black Panther movies. 

Tragically, Ramsess, along with three of his children, lost their lives in a fatal car crash in Atlanta. The incident has left a void in the hearts of many who knew and worked with him.

On October 31, Taraja Ramsess was behind the wheel when his car collided with a tractor-trailer that had broken down in a left lane, according to local news outlet Fox-Atlanta. The accident remains under investigation, and authorities are examining the collision’s circumstances.

Taraja Ramsess’s mother, Akili Ramsess, confirmed the tragic deaths of her son and two of his children, Sundari and Fujibo. 

Sundari was just 13 years old, and Fujibo was a mere eight weeks old at the time of the accident. In a later update, Akili also revealed the passing of Taraja’s 10-year-old son, Kisasi, who had been hospitalized for several days in critical condition before succumbing to his injuries.

Akili Ramsess took to Instagram to share her grief and memories of her beloved son. She described Taraja as someone who possessed a deep capacity for love with a profound affection for his children. She fondly remembered his passions, including martial arts, motorcycles, and his unwavering dedication to the world of filmmaking. 

His infectious sense of humor, both witty and humorous, left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

The grieving mother expressed disbelief at the loss of her son and extended her gratitude to those who had reached out with kind words and prayers. She also said she hope for her grandchildren’s recovery during this heartbreaking time.

In addition to his work on the Black Panther films, Taraja Ramsess’s impressive stuntwork can be seen in various Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) projects, including Avengers: Endgame and the upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. 

He boasted an extensive list of credits, contributing to blockbuster action movies like The Suicide Squad, Creed III, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Emancipation, and The Harder They Fall. Beyond stuntwork, Ramsess contributed to the film industry in various roles, including background acting, camera operation, and art department work.

Taraja Ramsess was also a valued crew member for Ava DuVernay’s distribution company, ARRAY. 

The esteemed director took to Instagram to tribute Ramsess, remembering him as someone who walked like a king and always carried himself like one. Her heartfelt words testify to the profound impact Ramsess had on those in the film industry and beyond.
