Chicano literature movement author Rudolfo Anaya is dead. KRQE reported yesterday that Anaya died Sunday. He was 82. He is a founder of the Chicano literature movement. His work is used in schools around the country. He was born in Pastura, New Mexico, raised in Santa Rosa, attended Albuquerque High and the University of New Mexico, where he taught as a faculty member in the English department. He is the author of over 40-books, including the best seller Bless Me Ultima in 1972.
