The New York State Police are currently working on identifying approximately 40 individuals who were captured in an online video. The video shows them surrounding a state trooper on Route 9D in Wappingers Falls, where they not only stole his hat but also attempted to steal his cruiser.
As the trooper attempted to aid a biker who had recently been involved in a crash, the other bikers subjected him to harassment. They persisted in driving on sidewalks and through yards, shouting obscenities and revving their engines. The video truly captures this unsettling behavior.
“He said he’s just riding his bike up and down the streets, and it seems like the police are overwhelmed because there are so many bikers.”
