A random attack in Brooklyn on Monday morning left a 53-year-old man with a slashed throat, according to police.
According to the police, the victim was walking on Schermerhorn Street in Boerum Hill around 10:43 a.m. when an unidentified suspect approached him from behind and launched an attack.
The victim is currently receiving medical treatment at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, according to authorities.
The suspect escaped on foot in the direction of Bond Street.
No one has been arrested yet. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation.
