KVIA reporting that a 73-year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning while trying to cross a road in Las Cruces.
Police said the man, who has not yet been identified, was crossing at the intersection when a Toyota SUV tried to make a left turn off Telshor Boulevard. Police said witnesses and firefighters cared for the victim until he was taken to a local hospital. Although his injuries were serious, police believed they were not life-threatening. While the driver of the SUV was issued a citation for failure to yield to a pedestrian.
